Blake is just one of those guys who brings every ounce of luck he has with him fishing. Year after year Blake comes to fish with us and no matter how slow the fishing may be he seems to have that special touch to make things happen. After fishing most of the morning outside of Kailua town we were called up to a porpoise school outside of the airport. A good friend of ours had found a school or pod of porpoise that were holding big yellowfin inside. We put our tuna stick up and it didn’t take long for a yellowfin to jump on. By the end of the day Blake had caught four ahi, the biggest being over the 200 pound mark and at the time our biggest of the year.
