The Capitolas timing was great for good fishing. We were able to find a great dolphin pod and have some fun. We found a few scattered dolphins which led us to the big pod. It was a beautiful pod charging to the north. There were 50 birds flying off the head of the well organized pod. The frigate birds flew above diving when the flying fish got chased into the air by the feeding dolphins. It looked like a perfect situation for a trolling strike for a possible double or triple strike. As we made our second pass I saw a big tuna jump into the air feeding. We gave it 5 passes thinking we would be bit trolling and nothing came. We changed to the tuna stick and caught 4 nice tuna before we had to head home.
