We tried our best to not paint the hull. It was in good shape but for a number of reasons decided to paint it. The paint had a year or 2 left in it but what made the most sense in the long run was to paint the hull while the boat was here all ready to paint. The rub rails were off and the parts that we painted were all covered up. By the time we buffed out the hull and patched the little spots that need work we could have primed and painted the hull. We used Awlcraft 2000 so the paint job will be able to be polished. It will be white so the color fade will no be an issue if we need to patch things up. The current paint was really faded and the new patches would have been able to be seen. I sanded the hull one afternoon and Roberto primed it the next morning. Here she is with the primer on her.
