Today I had the honor of hunting with Ed Yates a hunter that has hunted all over the world and is a nominee for the Weatherby Award the highest honor in hunting. The criteria is steep and the travel and miles in the air to cover the 300 species of animals he has hunted all over the world is mind boggling. It was really cool to see the pictures of his hunts and hear the stories of his travels. Our mission was to get him a free range black Hawaiian sheep and a Spanish goat. Ed would then meet Pat Fisher on Lanai where he would try for a Muflon Sheep. We found a bunch of sheep but probably passed on to many looking for a big one. We ended up going up the next day. With time to consider we were lucky to find a nice ram early so we had time to get south to get him this representative Spanish goat. It was a great couple days with a lot of good animals out there.
