This year we partnered up with old friend and charter Chip Collins for this years World Cup. When Chip found out that he couldn’t make it he offered to put up the entry so we teamed up to try to win it. With the fishing good in Kona we felt that if the world didn’t catch much we would have a good chance. My family fished with Mat and I. Elizabete was the angler and my dad Kent was our gaff man. We kept the big lures out looking for the big one but I couldn’t find one today. It was a great 4th with the family on the boat. The cup was brought back to Hawaii with the Maui Jim catching a fish over 700. The Big Blue challenge was won on the Sea Genie 2 with a 585. Here you see Gabby driving us home.
