Bubba Brown of Texas won second place in the Firecracker Open in Kona Hawaii on the Northern Lights. On Day one we caught a 200 pound blue that put us in 8th place on time. Going into day 2 we had the entire daily pots open in the big fish. I went north to get out of the pack and have our own water to fish fish. I stayed close to the grounds where a thought a good bite may happen. I trolled there for 2 hours and decided to slide down from the grounds down the 1000 fathom line where I saw that there was no boats. The fish came to my right teaser and when I took the teaser from it it went to the left short and got hooked up. 25 minutes later we had the fish in the boat. it had a 112 short and I thought it would be around 450. At the scales it weighed 512 pounds. Bubba went into the dailies deep enough to win the majority of the money in the tournament and second place over all.
