Check out this new harness masterminded by tackle retailer Melton International Tackle. The new harness covers all bases when looking for a soft fit all harness. Improvements have been made to older more outdated versions. The new construction and materials make the harness very comfortable. We tried one this week and really liked it. I also like the Aftco heavy tackle harness for heavy tackle angling where the support is needed to keep the harness from squeezing in on the hips. Aftcos new harness looks and feels like the harness we used to use on the Duyfken with Peter Wright on the Barrier Reef. For the big drag Peter used to use it is perfect for ultra heavy tackle. Now that we have both on board we have all of our bases covered. The new Melton International harness serves us well when we don’t have enough pressure to hold the Aftco harness in place. When we are on small blues our new Melton harness keeps from riding up in back and is nice and soft in the chair. If we are really getting getting stretched on 130 with big drag we have our Aftco harness which we can switch to in a matter of seconds.
