The Northern Lights Keiki Tournament was a example of the right day for the right event. My mom picked the day and it proved to be the perfect day for the kids. The Northern Lights 40, Northern Lights 37 and the Lightspeed set out to get small fish for the keiki and what a day for that. Alex (age 9)my nephew caught his first blue wired by 13year old James David. Juliana Nakamaru(age 7) fought a small blue with Capt Mat and uncle Jimmy only to jump off after a bunch of jumps. Andrew(age 7) caught a nice otaro and a nice Ono. The 3 boats caught a total of 38 Mahi Mahi at 2 different floaters along with over a dozen aku caught by Gabriella Nakamaru (age 10), Laurel David (age 10),Obrey Weaver (age 9), Taylor Eberl(age 7)and Christopher David (age 4mo).
