Had a crazy day out there that didn’t start out very well. We had a triple strike in the morning on our first pass and lost them all. Had another one all the way to the leader and that one came off as well. We got back in the porpoise and another one missed the lure. After trolling for awhile we put the stick out where we had another one right to the boat and pulled the hook. 0-6 right then. I was having a hard time focusing and really felt the fact that we had a golden opportunity and not made use of it. Pat Fisher, David Carswell, and Chas Fisher an I got back in the porpoise for our 7th strike. We talked about staying positive and I kept thinking they are biting good lets just focus in the one we are on and not think about what we could end up with. The 7th one stuck. We focused on no. 2. then on no.3 and so on. The bite came back on and in a short time we had 7 in a row. Our 8th one pulled off half way in and the bite was over. We watched the ahi jump all evening with no more bites. By dark we had finished well one fish at a time.
