John “John Boy” Kelmer was back to fish with us on a vacation to Kona. We fished live bait on the grounds and missed a billfish and caught a couple of sharks on a double right on the tide. It was exciting at first but wrong kine. It was good get caught up on old times. I put a couple of old pictures from John boy fished with us. Most on the Northern Lights but one from Madeira where Jon boy is holding the head of a really nice fish we caught on the Polu Kai Instigator on Tracy Melton’s boat the “Grander” in 2007. Probably our highlight fish was one my wife caught with Jon boy in Madeira. The Madeira girl caught a fish that was probably a grander. After an 1 and a half hour fight we let the fish go. I remember it was big and fat. 99 percent it would have made it. It is memory Elizabete and I will never forget. Thanks for the good times and thanks for the visit!
