Spring Break Family Day of Fishingby Captain Kevin Nakamaruin Kona Fishing Charter, Kona Fishing Reporton Posted on March 29, 2019January 5, 2020 Great Spring Break family day of fishing. On the last hour of our morning half day we had a crazy few minutes when we least expected it. A 500 pound blue cane to our long corner Koya 861 and bit several times before we stung it and it left. A minute later I saw it on the stinger surf up to the Polu Kai bullet. Wasn’t the same one. A fish double as big popped up behind the lure.We all watched it try and try to get the lure and finally it found it on a beautiful bite and the hook pulled out. She charged up again and this time spooked to the depths. What a fish. Incredible spring fish are here. Now the wait begins to see another one of a totally different league of fish.We look forward to the wait and pray the next one gets stuck
