Kona said good bye to Jim Rizzuto the other day.Family and friends scattered his ashes at sea topped with flowers and a 3 pass salute by the fleet. He will be missed by for helping put Kona Fishing on the map. He was a great friend always interested in whatever fishing was happening in the state and how it could link Hawaii to fishing world wide. Who will be our next Hawaii Fishing Ambassador?? Catch em up up there –you will be truly missed.

Saw 4 blues today and Miss Laurel had one right to the boat that came off. Tough to say good bye until next year. The Davids head back to Miami Florida to run the world famous LandH. Bob with his blue he caught today his son Scott jumped one off right before we ran in at 12. Fishing still spread out and hard but seems like the fish are here we just need some current.

Famous junior angler Laurel David of LandH Sportsfishing using our Release Marine chair to catch her blue before her little brother Chris caught (6years old)caught his blue. Laurel had another blue almost to leader but it came off ending up the day 2-4. Had a 5th in the pattern on a double that didn’t bite. Happy Birthday Chris!!!

Wild jump of the blue we caught yesterday with the David Family Cpat Jimmy and family from the world famous Land H out of Miami fishing with us. Deb released this blue right after she caught a spearfish. Fun day

Ahi we caught pre fishing before the Hawaiian Billfish Series Tournament. We have had a tough tournament with fishing spread out all over the coast I have had a hard time finding consistent fishing. Had 2 blue bites and missed them both . As we slip back we are at the point we need a big one.

Sat tagged a nice fish for the great marlin race. Marty Firestein donated the tag and we got to deploy it. This marlin race is studying fish over 400 pounds meaning a female fish to see where she goes. The tag will be out for 240 days and float up with her voyage from the time she was tagged. It was our second fish over 500 for the morning. I forgot we had the tag on the first one. Good to see some nice fish around.
