A quick shout out to Tracy Melton and his rod building team led by veteran rod builder Miguel for building the ultimate HIBT rods for us on the Northern Lights. As you can see here a great taper for 50 pound test. On our boats we need the ability to clear the corners of the cockpit when we have the drag up. Working with them at the shop testing and playing with the blanks is how we agreed on the blank. It is different from what I wanted at first but Tracy hit it right on the head with the perfect rod for fishing 50 pound. Here Hiromi from team Fantasia fights her blue we caught this morning. This is the look of the taper with 22 pounds of drag. The credit goes the the blank choice for the performance but the build is beautifully built with the leather grips and custom wrap. Thanks again
