Today was my first day back. I had heard the fishing was good on my way back so we put a trip together with Geza. My friend Brian Balencio who fishes with us a lot came with us to fish the dolphins. We started out by catching live bait early in the morning. Once it got light we trolled for marlin down south to where the dolphins have been. We got past C buoy and found a good pod but they were kind of spread out. It looked good but they were so spread it was hard to find the fish. Friends soon joined up with us and the pod got tighter. We started to mark fish as we worked them with the tuna stick. No bites on the stick so we started to live bait. We tried for 2 or 3 hours without a bite. One of our friends caught one so we stuck with it. I had good marks so Brian dropped down to them with chum. Were were lining up for our first drop and the live bait went off with a 170 pounder. About an hour later and a few drops Brian got a bite deep. It was another nice one about 140. We had some luck so we stuck with it until the pod turned south. Right before they turned Brian got another one 110. Nice day.
