We finished a 2 week dry dock today. We pulled the boat to clear coat the toe rail and the varnished areas downstairs. Lots of parts and lots of sanding. We have been clear coating the varnished areas so we can get more coats on with less sanding. it is still a ton of sanding but we get more material on in less time. The key for us is to keep the wood in good shape so we limit the amount of breakouts after the clear goes on. Fishing as hard as we do it is hard on the varnished areas but the clear coats seem to help keep it nice longer.Good to be back in the water but I am going to do a bunch in the water in between fishing.
