We had the honor of fishing with a true legend in sport fishing. Joe Moore not to be confused with our local anchorman fished with friend Val Sousa. Both South Floridians they were vacationing here and came out fishing for two days. We caught Val 2 spears and Joe one releasing them all. It was great to hear of Joe’s travels during the era when our 37 Merritt was built. To hear the stories of the time in fishing history where the base for what we know today was made. Joe ran one of the early 37 Merritts brand new out of the boat yard. He mentioned many legendary names while we fished that we recognized. Now Val and Joe run an amazing mega yacht that is based out of South Florida.
